Dorino Livon is one of the most successful and recognized Friulan winemakers. His story has its roots in the family's passion and traditions: a true love for the homeland, Friuli, or better: the Collio and the Colli Orientali del Friuli, the far north-eastern corner of Italy and gateway to Eastern Europe. Dorino Livon acquired his first vineyards on the Collio hills in 1964, and slowly expanded his property establishing the Azienda Agricola Livon estate. The winery is now under the direction of the third generation of the family.

Intense straw yellow color, with golden reflections. The bouquet is intense and complex with spicy hints. On the palate it is warm, full-bodied, and elegant. It evolves in the glass with the temperature changes.
Production Notes
Only 100 cases produced from this tiny single vineyard in local dialect "Braide Alte" which translates to the "Greatest-Highest Single Vineyard Surrounded by Ancient Stone Walls".
Winemaker Notes
Estate grown and harvested and sorted by hand, this wine is comprised of 40% Chardonnay, 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Picolit, 10% Moscato Giallo grapes.
Food Pairing Notes
Drink with: pasta dishes based on fish. Ideal with all substantial fish dishes (grouper, swordfish, stockfish in tomato sauce or other herbs), but it also pairs very well with white meat and soft, fresh cheeses. Served at a higher temperature ( 60°F) it is also excellent with lamb, roast kid and grilled meat. Longevity: 10-15 years. Serve at: 54°F.
